Juneau police and fire officials and state police reported:


• At about 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, a 33-year-old-woman reported a burglary in the 2800 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.

• At about 8:50 a.m. Thursday, a 57-year-old woman reported the theft of a computer, valued at $2,500, from inside a business in the 400 block of Whittier Street.


• At about 12 p.m. Wednesday, a 51-year-old man was arrested for assault in the 3200 block of Hospital Drive. He was transported to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Missing person:

• At about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, a request was made to locate a 17-year-old boy in the Juneau area.


• At about 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, a 54-year-old man reported to police that his backpack was stolen from a business in the 100 block of Front Street.

Vehicle accident:

• At about 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, a 28-year-old man reported his 2002 Subaru was struck while parked, causing $2,000 in damage, in the 3000 block of Fish Creek Road.

• At about 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, minor damage was reported to a 1998 Subaru and a 2004 Ford which had collided in a parking lot in the 1600 block of Glacier Ave.

• At about 5 p.m. Wednesday, a 1997 Honda driven by a 17-year-old girl struck a 1995 Subaru operated by a 33-year-old woman on Glacier Highway. Both vehicles were totaled, and the driver of the Subaru was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital for evaluation. The driver of the Honda was cited for failure to maintain a safe distance.

• At about 8:45 a.m. Thursday, a 1997 Honda driven by a 25-year-old man, a 1997 Toyota driven by a 35-year-old woman and a 1996 bus driven by a 65-year-old man were in collision in the 2600 block of Douglas Highway. The Honda sustained $2,000 in damage and the Toyota sustained $1,000 in damage. There was no damage to the bus.

• At about 9:05 a.m. Thursday, a 2007 Nissan driven by a 26-year-old woman was in an accident with a 2006 Dodge driven by an 18-year-old woman in the 7700 block of Glacier Highway. The Nissan sustained $5,000 in damage and the Dodge sustained $1,000 in damage.
