Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar has announced that more than $749 million in excise tax revenues will be distributed to state and territorial fish and wildlife agencies, with almost $34 million of that going to Alaska.

The state will receive $15,264,514 in Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Restoration funding plus $18,234.739 from the Dingell-Johnson Sport Fish Restoration Program, according to a news release.

Program funds come from excise taxes paid by sporting equipment manufacturers, producers and importers as well as from fuel taxes from recreational boaters.
