Misty Dawn Fredrickson Smith, of Juneau, and Michael J. Pitaro Jr., of Bedford, N.H., are engaged to be married at 2 p.m. March 21, 2010, at the Shrine of St. Therese in Juneau. Fr. Peter Gorges will preside, with a reception following directly after theceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Agnes and Stuart D'Cafango. A Juneau-Douglas High School graduate, she is an Internet technician for Alaska Power and Telephone.
The groom is the son of Michael Pitaro Sr. and Cecilia Pitaro. A University of New Hampshire graduate, he is a geospatial engineer for the U.S. Army.
The maid of honor will be Jana K. MacInnis. Bridesmaids will be Rainbow Dawn Chandler, of Anchorage, and the bride's sisters, Agnes D'Cafango Jr. and Adrianna D'Cafango.
The best man will be the groom's brother, Matthew Pitaro, of Bedford. Nicholas Wallette, of Anchorage, will be the groomsman and usher.
The couple will make their home in New Hampshire, although they haven't yet decided which town.
