Laura Ann Poe and Joseph Randal Jim are engaged to be married in a summer wedding on July 31, 2010, in Juneau.

The bride is the daughter of Larry Germain and Teresa Germain-Reyes, of Juneau, and the late Robert Poe, of Fairbanks. She is a 1993 graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and a former Miss Juneau 1993. She is employed as an accounting technician at Central Council Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska.

The groom is the son of Joseph Bergman Jim Sr., of Angoon, and Georgia Albert, of Juneau. He is a warehouse manager for Thibodeau's Market Inc.

The couple will make their home in Juneau.
