ANCHORAGE - A search Sunday failed to find the body of a man who disappeared more than a week ago in a Kenai Peninsula avalanche.
Forty-year-old Alan Gage has been missing since the slide hit a party of snowmobilers Feb. 13 about 5 miles south of Spencer Glacier.
The avalanche killed ConocoPhillips Alaska President Jim Bowles.
His body was found shortly after the slide.
Severe weather prevented search efforts for Gage most of last week.
Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman Beth Ipsen says the state Department of Transportation on Saturday morning dropped explosives in the area to bring down any loose snow.
Recovery officials said they hoped to search again today.
