Police and fire blotter

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Thefts:

Shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday, a business on Industrial Boulevard reported the theft of a front suspension for a vehicle. The suspension was valued at $1,500. No suspects were named, and there were no leads.

Fraud:

An officer responded to a report about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday from the downtown location of Key Bank. A bank employee suspected that a man was attempting to cash a check on a closed account.

Other:

A police officer responded to a report about 1 p.m. Tuesday from Shattuck Way of a parked vehicle leaking gas, a possible hazard to the public. The officer found a minimal fuel leak. He contacted the owner of the vehicle, who was to clean up the spill.
