ANCHORAGE - Police arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the murder of two men in an East Anchorage neighborhood.
James Coven was taken into custody Saturday.
He was charged with first and second-degree murder and tampering with evidence in the shooting deaths of Christon Lee of Anchorage and Matthew Peterson of Wasilla early Wednesday morning.
The men, both 19, were shot at close range while sitting in a pickup truck.
Coven also was charged with attempted misconduct involving a controlled substance.
He is being held at the Anchorage jail on $500,000 bail.
