Two armed men forced a Douglas woman to open a lock box, then stole about $3,000 of property Monday afternoon, according to a release from the Juneau Police Department.
The woman was in her home in the 1100 block of Fourth Street when the men entered the residence. After taking the property, the men left in a black sedan, the release states. JPD officers found the sedan in the Lemon Creek area at about 8 p.m. and searched it after obtaining a warrant.
No one was injured in the robbery. The victim knew the men, and the robbery was not random, according to the release. JPD has not released the names of the suspects.
