JUNEAU - Two helicopters, a cutter and two aircraft were being used Saturday to search for two men that left Juneau in a fishing vessel earlier in the week and were reported missing Friday night.
Mike Dunn and Vern McGee left Juneau Wednesday aboard Dunn's wooden vessel, the Transition, and hadn't been heard from since, Dunn's wife told the U.S. Coast Guard.
They were headed to Ketchikan, the Coast Guard said.
A rescue helicopter from Air Station Sitka was launched Saturday morning to search the route.
A second rescue helicopter was launched Saturday night.
The Coast Guard cutter Anacapa, stationed in Petersberg, was also helping in the search, as were two civil aircraft.
The Transition is a 35-foot converted wooden troller, according to the Coast Guard.
