JUNEAU - Gov. Sarah Palin has left for Washington D.C., where she'll attend the National Governors Association winter meetings.
But she is also hoping to get some face time with several of the remaining presidential candidates next week, separate from the governors' meeting.
She not only wants to meet with GOP front-runner John McCain, but also Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
Palin said she wants to learn what kind of resource development projects the candidates would support.
She has long said that Alaska needs to take a stronger role in the nation's efforts toward energy independence.
