SITKA - A longtime Alaska resident has been named the new superintendent for Sitka National Historical Park.

Mary Miller replaces Greg Dudgeon, who is now in charge of Arctic/Yukon-Charley National Park and Preserves.

Miller will take over next month. She is currently regional transportation engineer for the USDA National Forest Service in Juneau.

Miller, a Sitka native, said she looks forward to reconnecting with family and friends.
