Houghton, Botnan to marry June 12

Toni Mae Houghton of Yakima, Wash., and Todd Christopher Botnan of Minneapolis, Minn., will be married in a ceremony planned for 1 p.m., June 12, at Chapel by the Lake.

A reception will follow, 2 p.m., at Smith Hall, Chapel by the Lake. Friends and relative of the couple are invited to the wedding and reception.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Rose Marie Etl and Dean Etl. She is a graduate of Central Washington University, and is currently employed by the State of Alaska, Department of Health and Social Services.

The groom-elect is the son of Louisa and Ted Botnan. He is a graduate of St. Cloud University, Minnesota, and is currently employed with the State of Alaska, Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education.

The couple will make their home in Juneau.

Black, Bausch to marry June 12

Jennifer Black of Juneau and Jeremy Bausch of Winona Lake, Iowa, will be married in a ceremony planned for 5:30 p.m., June 12, at Glacier Valley Baptist Church. Friends and relatives are invited.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Donald and Nancy Black. She is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo., and is employed as an administrative assistant for USKH Inc.

The groom-elect is the son of Phillip and Faith Bausch. He is a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and is employed as an apprentice for N.E.W. Plumbing and Heating Co.

Scherpenberg, DeVore marry Jan. 20

Stephanie Scherpenberg of Hoeselt, Belgium, and Jon DeVore of Juneau, were married Jan. 20, in Maui, Hawaii.

The bride is the daughter of Jeannine Stantermans and Yvan Scherpenberg of Hoeselt, Belgium. She recently graduated, with high honors, from Brussels University School of Law.

The groom is the son of Randall and Susan DeVore of Juneau. He is a 1993 graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and is now working as a professional skydiver and is also the instructor and manager of Skydive Tahoe in Tahoe City, Calif.

A reception was held for the couple in Hoeselt, Belgium, on Feb. 21. The couple is making their home in Tahoe City.
