Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• A car battery was reported stolen from a 1992 Subaru Justy near James Boulevard at 8:15 a.m. Monday.

Vehicle rifling:

• A man, 50, reported his vehicle was rifled sometime Sunday night or Monday morning on South Franklin Street.


• A woman, 25, was cited and released on a charge of larceny at 2:34 p.m. Monday near Glacier Highway after allegedly shoplifting.

Vehicle accidents:

• A 17-year-old driver of a 1987 Ford was cited for speeding after he collided with a Toyota driven by a 50-year-old man and a 2000 Ford driven by a 43-year-old man near Salmon Creek at 2:27 p.m. Monday. Damage to the 1987 Ford was $500, damage to the Toyota was $1,000, and damage to the 2000 Ford was $100. No one was injured in the accident.

• A 1997 four-wheel-drive blue Dodge lost control and slid in Lemon Creek at 6:44 a.m. today. No one was hurt but the vehicle sustained approximately $100 damage.
