The high school play "The King and I" was fantastic. They deserve a lot of credit. Everyone should go see it.

Sealaska shareholders, we're in serious trouble. I think we should cut the office. What do we need a staff that large for? To count our losses?

I agree, Mr. Loescher was scapegoated. All of the Sealaska Board of Directors needs to be held accountable. We as shareholders have to quit complaining and do something about it. Remember we voted these board members in.

Let me tell you about the Sealaska election process. If you do not know your candidates, they urge you to vote discretionary, thereby giving your power of attorney to vote that proxy for the management slate. Independent candidates do not get that option.

To say Sealaska gave $120 million to the white world is absurd. It was Sealaska's bad business practices that led to its loss.

As a young teen-ager I'd like to say something about the ecstasy thing in the newspaper. The adults in the school board need to worry more about alcohol than they need to worry about ecstasy because the kids can get their hands on alcohol more easily than on ecstasy.

We do not need an off-road vehicle plan. We need to educate people that Juneau does not have the large open spaces that the machines are intended for.

The reason businesses spend money on marketing is to sell more of their products. All summer our ferries are filled to capacity. Why in the world does the Marine Highway Division need a director?

Not only could the city and state ease traffic downtown by varying work schedules, they could also move some of the offices out to the valley where a big chunk of commuters live. The offices would also be closer for out-of-towners coming in via the airport or ferry.

Dog owners, be responsible! You can't just let your dog loose in the morning to leave its droppings wherever. Every day I clean up my yard after your dog! I don't have a dog because I don't want the responsibility of daily walking and cleaning up the droppings. If I ever catch the dog that who is using my yard as a toilet I will corral the dog, call the Humane Society and have it picked up as a loose dog.

Property managers who insist on their tenants following rules should have to set an example by following the rule of accessibility for handicapped persons.

Why is it that we have to call the city and state to clean the sidewalks so that children do not fall down going to school?

I believe the Southeast Alaska Food Bank originated with Gastineau Human Services back in 1992 and it's been Southeast Alaska Food Bank since then.
