The Juneau-Douglas High School junior varsity boys basketball team had little problem with visiting Ketchikan over the weekend.
The Crimson Bears upended the Kings 72-56 on Saturday and opened the series Friday with a 75-54 win.
On Saturday, JDHS exploded to a 43-26 halftime lead and refused to look back.
The Bears' Ryan Larson led all scorers with 18 points. Zach Heppner scored nine points while Shawn Ibesate and Billy Sarandria tallied eight points each.
Kyle Kahklen and Michael Jacobson scored seven points apiece. Dominique Brinson had five points. Sam Clark added four points, and Kyle Wales and Nick Andrews each hit two free throws for JDHS.
Albert Pahang led Ketchikan with 14 points.
Paul Manabat had 13 points while Lee Yonker and Trent Headley scored six points each for the Kings.
Juneau-Douglas started Friday's game hot, pulling out to a 30-9 lead in the first quarter en route to a 21-point win.
Heppner scored 17 points and Larson had 15 points to lead JDHS.
Ibesate, Brinson, Kahklen, Sarandria, Jake Hotch, Clark, Jacobson, Sean Bavard, Eric Gross, Nick Andrews, Geoff Craig and Alex Fagerstrom all scored in the win.
Jase Scudero led Ketchikan with 11 points. Gunnar Farstad had 10 points in the loss.
Juneau-Douglas' C team also swept Ketchikan on Friday and Saturday.
The Bears outscored the Kings 26-9 in the fourth quarter to pick up a 69-57 win on Saturday.
Kyle Wales led all players with 18 points as four different Crimson Bears scored in double-figures.
Hotch had 13 points, Bavard netted 12 points and Ben Weyhrauch scored 11 points in the win.
Craig chipped in with six points, Bryce Saviers had five points while Dakotah Smith and Nick Martin contributed two points each Saturday.
For Ketchikan, Farstad had 16 points and Scudero scored nine points.
Erik Pihl and Kevin Manabat racked up six points each in defeat.
On Friday, Hotch scored 20 points and knocked down four 3-pointers as JDHS edged Ketchikan 60-58.
Bavard and Wales scored 10 points each, Craig added eight points, Corey Mahar scored four points, Fagerstrom contributed three points while Weyhrauch and Matt Lehrbach each netted two points in the win.
Smith added a free throw to aid the Bears' effort.
Trenton Headley scored 11 points to pace a balanced Ketchikan attack.
Brian Lindgren, Cory White, Pihl, Scudero, Farstad, Eric Cessnun, Kevin Manabat, Keevin Craig and Simeon Schum all scored for the Kings on Friday.
Juneau-Douglas boys travel to Angoon next weekend.
The JDHS girls junior varsity also earned two wins over the weekend.
The Crimson Bears beat host Ketchikan 52-34 on Friday and completed the sweep 36-34 Saturday.
