KENAI - The Kenai Peninsula Borough is offering to remove hazardous trees along roadways.

Many of the trees died off in the beetle kill outbreak.

The program is designed to clear all trees that threaten to block access to both public and private lands for landowners and emergency services personnel. So far, 280 miles of borough roads have been cleared, from Hope to Homer.
