JUNEAU - The Juneau Cooperative Church Council will hold weekly Lenten lunches from 12-1 each Thursday beginning March 6 to April 10 at McPheters Hall in downtown Juneau. This is the 36th annual Lenten lunch.

The Lenten lunches provide an opportunity for ecumenical Christian fellowship and will feature speakers and musical groups from a cross-section of Juneau's churches.

This year's speakers include: Honor Hill, CS on March 6; Paster Paul Beran on March 13; Pastor Charles Jedele on March 20; K.J. Metcalf on March 27; Pastor Thomas Dahl on April 10; and Mother Kathleen Wakefield on April 3. Since parking is limited at McPheters Hall, additional parking is available at Northern Light United Church and a free shuttle will provide transportation to McPheters Hall. The Shuttle will leave NLUC at 11:45. A lunch of soup, bread and beverage will be served and a donation of $5 is suggested. Proceeds will go to local charities.
