Thanks to all who contributed to UAS's College Goal Sunday
Sound off on the important issues at
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for all of the volunteers and Juneau merchants who generously donated to help make Juneau's third annual College Goal Sunday, held Feb. 11 at the Juneau-Douglas High School, a rousing success. In particular, I would like to thank Alaska Pacific Bank, Blockbuster Video, First National Bank Alaska, GCI, Goldbelt, Heritage Coffee, Juneau Empire, McDonalds, Odom Corporation - Coca Cola, Prospector Hotel, Silverbow Bakery and Wells Fargo for their amazing donations of door prizes and refreshments. I would also like to thank the staff from the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education, the Juneau Douglas High School and the University of Alaska Southeast who donated their Sunday afternoon to help JDHS students and their families complete their federal financial aid applications in anticipation of going off to college next fall.
For students who missed this event, help is still available. Students can contact Kim Pierce at the high school or the UAS Financial Aid Office (796-6255) to get answers to any questions they have concerning the FAFSA application.
