The family of Sophie McKinley would like to thank the communities, organizations and individuals who have assisted her in prayers and assistance through her recent surgeries and house repairs.
We are extremely grateful for all the prayers, concern and thoughtfulness of folks from Angoon, Hoonah, Kake, Yakutat, Nome and all the way over through Seattle, West Virginia and Ohio.
We are reminded of what an awesome community we live in and how we can all put together in times of need. We cannot possibly name each and every person or organization, however, there are certainly many that stand out, Tlingit and Haida Regional Housing Authority, Tlingit and Haida Central Council, Dr. Greer, Pastor Nelson and the church family, Jeff Nelson, Alan, Dr. Greer, State Farm Insurance, the Houston family, the Hanlon family, Floyd and Lena Kookesh and family, Albert and Sally Kookesh, Katie Davis, Ella Bennett, Rachel White, Libby Watanabe, Gail Dabaluz, Kenny Merculief, Rick Walicki, Wally Marvin, Marge and Richard Dotson, Rick, Mick Beasley and Nancy Barnes, just to name a few.
We appreciate all those that so generously participated in the 50/50, that Libby Watanabe and Gail Dabaluz coordinated with Tlingit and Haida Central Council Native Issues Forum on Feb. 10; the young fellow from Nome, Jason Floyd, who so graciously contributed his 50 percent back; and many of the others who were present from Juneau and out of town. We cannot name each and every person, but we are extremely thankful to each and every person who so graciously extended their support. May the good Lord bless each and every one of you.
Thank you. Gunal.cheesh.
