Thank you to the following family members and various organizations and people who donated to the Horton family in honor of the passing of our son, Robert Horton, on Jan. 9, 2010.
First we would like to thank our granddaughter, Charlotte Waters, for the loan to continue with memorial and burial services.
Thank you to Fred Stevenson, who donated 20,000 miles to help family make it to the services. Also, we would like to thank Glacier Valley Church of God for their donation.
And thank you to the following people for their donations: Mike Tagaban, Jerry and Arlene Bennett, Al and Myrna McKinley, Penn Cornell, Jerry Horton, Genevieve Guanzon and Jerry Gray.
Thank you to the Alaska Native Brotherhood Camp 2 and Tlingit & Haida Community Council Bingo for allowing us to sell 50/50 tickets for travel expenses.
Thank you to our granddaughter, Lynette Joubert, of Anchorage, and daughter, Bertha F. Horton, of Juneau, for coordinating travel, hotel and flyers for the Retsil veterans home celebration of life and for the pictures and programs for the memorial services.
Lastly, thank you to our daughter, Brenda White, of Port Orchard, Wash., who set up the celebration of life services and memorial and who took care of the burial service at Retsil Veteran Cemetery in Port Orchard. Without her help, the memorial and burial services would not have been possible.
We could not have done what needed to be done without all the generous donations and support of family, organizations, people who helped us in our time of need.
William Sr. and Martha Horton
