Thief steals fuel oil from firefighters

KETCHIKAN - Alaska State Troopers say somebody is stealing from volunteer firefighters outside Ketchikan.

Troopers are looking for suspects in the theft of 220 gallons of fuel oil from the South Tongass Fire Department.

The department serves residents of the Ketchikan Gateway Borough south of Ketchikan city limits.

The estimated value of the fuel is $660. The theft was discovered last week.
