The Alaskan Brewing Company sold 87,900 barrels of beer in 2003, a 14 percent increase in sales from 2004, the company announced in February.
"Our crew are devoted to quality," Kristi Monroe said. "People know what they're going to get when they purchase our product. We work really hard to ensure that, and I think that's why sales have remained strong."
In early 2003, the Alaskan Brewing Company rolled out the first redesign of its four year-round labels in seven years. The beer is sold in eight states and several foreign countries.
The 2003 sales ranks the Alaskan Brewing Company among the top 10 specialty brewers in the country for sales, the company said.
Though the brewery has new production and marketing plans for this year, Monroe couldn't say specifically what is planned.
"We're always working on various marketing opportunities out there," she said.
