Federal climate center opens in Anchorage

ANCHORAGE — The new Alaska Climate Science Center has opened in Anchorage on the UAA campus.

The Anchorage Daily News reports it’s one of eight regional climates centers the Interior Department is opening nationwide to research climate change.

The centers are a partnership of federal and state agencies and universities to help manage land, water, fish and wildlife.
