Tree committee begins meeting

The Juneau Tree Committee will host a kick-off meeting at noon March 9 in the downtown library conference room. Tree professionals, the general public and anyone interested in the planting and maintenance of trees in the city and borough of Juneau is invited.

The Juneau Tree Committee is a new advisory committee established to assist the CBJ Parks and Recreation Department in tree planting priorities for Juneau. The committee also hopes to partner with CBJ Public Works, the state Department of Transportation and local neighborhood groups to participate in planting and maintaining trees in Juneau.
