Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


About 11:43 p.m. Thursday, a man, 37, was arrested in the Lemon Creek area for domestic violence assault. Alcohol was involved. The man was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


About 6:41 p.m. Thursday, a citizen (age and gender not given) reported from Cornerstone House that a Discman compact disc player, stereo headphones and three compact discs had been stolen Wednesday.

Just after midnight Thursday, a woman, 39, reported losing her wallet. When the wallet was recovered, about $100 in cash was missing.


Capital City Fire & Rescue received two reports about 8:45 a.m. Thursday of smoke at the Nugget Mall. Firefighters found that the cause of the smoke was a malfunctioning furnace above a restaurant. The furnace had been dripping oil. There were no injuries.

Warrant arrests:

About 10:30 p.m. Thursday, a man, 44, was arrested in Pocket Park on an outstanding Juneau Police Department warrant for failure to appear for an arraignment hearing on an original charge of criminal trespass. He was lodged at state prison.

At 3:41 a.m. today, a girl, 13, was arrested on Delta Drive on an outstanding $200 cash Alaska State Troopers warrant issued for failure to pay a fine and comply with court-ordered conditions of probation on original charges of being a minor consuming tobacco, tobacco possession and probation violation.

Traffic stops:

A few minutes after 2 a.m. today, a man, 34, was contacted on Egan Drive outbound and cited and released for driving with a revoked license. The vehicle was released to its licensed owner. Alcohol was involved.
