On his way up

Thirteen-year-old Travis Lies, an eighth-grader at Floyd Dryden Middle School, scales rock-climbing equipment after school let out Monday. The playground apparatus is designed to teach children how to climb safely. Climbers do not need ropes or harnesses, and the goal is to learn how to maneuver on the apparatus - not go as high as possible.
