Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Police conducted a traffic stop about 1 a.m. today on Glacier Highway at Peterson Hill and arrested Keith Whitehead, 36, for drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content over 0.10 percent. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


A woman, 22, reported about 5 a.m. Thursday that a Dirt Devil car vacuum, a wallet and a Sony car disc player had been stolen from her vehicle on North Douglas Highway.

A man, 34, reported about 7:30 a.m. Thursday from Gray Street in North Douglas that sometime during the night his vehicle was rifled. Nothing appeared to be missing.

A woman, 43, reported shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday that her vehicle parked on Nine Mile Creek Road had been rifled and a number of items stolen.

A man, 30, reported about 8:30 p.m. Thursday the theft of his gray and silver Koss disc player (valued at $80), yellow Sony headset ($25), black Koss head set ($25), seven mini discs ($110) and keys from his unlocked vehicle on Marguerite Street in North Douglas.

A man, 30, reported about noon Thursday that two vehicles on North Douglas Highway had been rifled. A Sony CD player and miscellaneous swimming gear were stolen. He estimated the value of the missing items at $200. There were no leads or suspects.

A man, 40, reported about 3 p.m. Thursday that three Porter cable electric sanders were missing from his work site at Sixth Street and Main.


A woman, 41, reported shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday that a boy, 14, swung at her with a baseball bat, missed, and hit the wall. He then left the Mendenhall Valley residence. When the boy returned, officers arrested him for third-degree domestic violence assault. He was lodged at the Johnson Youth Center.

A woman, 36, reported about 7 p.m. Thursday that a man, 19, assaulted her employee, a man, 25, by pushing him. Investigation by police continues.

A woman, 43, reported shortly before midnight from a downtown bar that she was struck by a woman, 48, with whom she had an on-going problem.

Vehicle accidents:

Police responded about 12:30 p.m. Thursday to the report of a two-vehicle accident at the stop sign at Twelfth Street and Glacier Avenue. A man, 40, and a man, 19, were the drivers involved. Neither was injured. The vehicles suffered only minor damage.

Underage drinking:

About 9:30 a.m. Thursday, police officers assisted at Juneau-Douglas High School with three girls and a woman who were suspected of drinking alcohol. Their ages were 16, 17, 17, and 24.


Shortly before midnight Thursday, police cited a woman, 43, for disorderly conduct on Ferry Way. They transported her to a residence and assigned her to the care of a friend.

Police contacted several juveniles about 2:40 p.m. Thursday at Juneau-Douglas High School and issued citations for tobacco possession.
