KODIAK - Karluk School's two teachers are being allowed to resign after months of discussion failed to resolve problems at the Kodiak Island school.
The Board of Education on Wednesday released teachers Norbert and Sandra Widman from their contracts, effective two days later.
The teachers said that although some parents were supportive of their teaching performance, many more were not, making it impossible to maintain discipline.
There are 10 students at the Karluk School.
