Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• A jar of money was reported stolen at 8:06 p.m. Wednesday in a burglary to a home in the 6600 block of North Douglas Highway.


• Items valued at more than $3,000 were reported stolen at 12:22 p.m. Wednesday from a home in the 4300 block of Manor Avenue in the Mendenhall Valley.

• Cash totaling $1,950 was reported stolen at 1:38 p.m. Wednesday from the 5200 block of Commercial Boulevard in the Lemon Creek area.

• A headlight and an audio unit from a 1992 Ford Crown Victoria were reported stolen at 6 p.m. Wednesday near Distin Avenue downtown.


• Police arrested a 26-year-old man on a misdemeanor criminal mischief charge at 12:40 a.m. Thursday near South Franklin Street downtown. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• The windshield of a 2003 Toyota was reported to have been broken out at 8:13 a.m. Thursday in the 5900 block of Montgomery Street in the Lemon Creek area.

Vehicle accident:

• Police cited a 54-year-old woman on a charge of failing to maintain a safe distance in traffic after an accident at 7:06 p.m. Wednesday in the 2800 block of Riverside Drive in the valley. She was driving a 2000 Jeep that reportedly struck a 2003 Dodge Dakota in the rear. Damage was estimated at $1,000 to the Dodge and $2,000 to the Jeep.
