Organization description: Boys & Girls Club of Juneau provides youth ages 8-18 with facility based youth development programs that foster self-esteem, teamwork and leadership skills.

Volunteer positions available: Volunteers are needed to spend time with kids and help with homework, tutoring, arts and crafts, using computers, playing games, chaperoning summer field trips and chaperoning Friday night events for teenagers. Regular general administrative work is available. On-site training is provided.

Special requirements: Background checks will be performed on volunteers over 18.

In-kind/material donations needed: Snacks for kids or gift certificates for food; prizes for weekly drawings; arts/craft supplies; school supplies; board games, Legos, etc.; and PG-rated DVD movies. No exercise equipment.

Other Notes: Will work with court-ordered community service. Must present court orders indicating offense. No felony charges.
