When your office throws a party, who picks up the tab? According to a survey of more than 1,000 companies by Quill Corporation, about 41 percent of office parties are covered by participating employees who pitch in their own money, while another 18 percent reported having a annual party budget of $500 or less. About12 percent said they have a party budget of $500 to $1,000, and more than 14 percent have budgets that reach $5,000. Only about 4 percent reported throwing blowout bashes that exceed $5,000, the survey found.
