People voted to keep sessions in Juneau

Posted: Tuesday, March 04, 2008

The Juneau Empire story, "Legislative hall bill advances," on Feb. 29, is pretty interesting.

First, public testimony was reopened for one person? After all the complaining about the capital, etc., one person flew down from Anchorage to testify? Did anyone ask him how difficult it was to get here?

Second, the FRANK Initiative represents the people; the people submitted it. In the general election of 2002, the people voted to keep all legislative sessions in Juneau and to keep all the provisions of the FRANK Initiative.

Third, do you hear any U.S. senators or representatives complaining about the nation's capital being on the East Coast?
