Capital Transit buses were on time 47.7 percent of the time last year, and often they're early, not late, according to city-hired consultants.
The industry standard for being on time is 90 percent.
City planners are looking into whether buses might be leaving earlier than the published times in an attempt to end their runs on time.
Juneau's bus riders are invited to comment on this and other aspects of the transit plan during community meetings this week. The meetings are 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the downtown library and Wednesday at the Douglas Island library.
City planners will present the numbers on last year's ridership, on-time performance and other aspects of the public transportation system.
They also will present a draft of a new transit development plan.
