FAIRBANKS - The pros and cons of air boats are being debated at the state Board of Game in Fairbanks.
The board sets hunting and trapping regulations throughout Alaska and is considering a proposal to ban air boats from the Teklanika River.
Proponents say air boats are a nuisance and their noise chases moose from the river.
About 60 people had testified before the board by the end of Sunday and nearly 30 more were signed up to speak Monday.
The board will begin making decisions on 138 proposals after public testimony ends.
