Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Michael Edward Maher, 52, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Sunday near Willoughby Avenue for drunken driving and refusal to take a breath test. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


A man, 32, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on two counts of disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, assaulting a police officer, assault and resisting arrest. He was lodged at state prison.


A woman reported at 2:30 p.m. Saturday from Fritz Cove Road that a black Nokia cell phone and charger were stolen from her unlocked vehicle.

Stereo speakers and amplifiers, worth $4,000, were stolen from a vehicle Saturday night on Autumn Court.

Vehicle accidents:

A 22-year-old man was cited for reckless driving about 9:50 a.m. Sunday on North Douglas Highway. He drove around a vehicle stopped in the outbound lane and struck a vehicle in the inbound lane driven by a man, 43. The cited driver's vehicle had $12,000 damage, the other vehicle had $4,000 damage.

Warrant arrests:

A woman was arrested about 1:15 p.m. Friday as a fugitive from justice based on a warrant issued in Snohomish County, Wash., for custodial interference.

A girl, 15, was arrested about 1:20 a.m. Sunday near Gruening Park on an outstanding police warrant charging failure to appear on a charge of tobacco possession. She was lodged at Johnson Youth Center.

A man, 22, was arrested about 12:15 a.m. today near Amalga Street on an outstanding police warrant for failure to appear on an assault charge. He was also charged with two counts of resisting arrest and lodged at state prison.


A woman reported to animal control what appeared to be a dog trap about 7 p.m. Friday on Lemon Creek Road. The link chain, attached to a pole, had a large fish hook baited with crab meat on the other end.
