Room to do better

Posted: Tuesday, March 05, 2002

We,

as Americans and Earthlings, need to vehemently and loudly protest our president's decision to ignore the rest of the world's commitment to our environment. As the European Union rallies to help save our rapidly deteriorating planet, and Japan suddenly finds itself without a U.S. partner in their efforts to clean our air and water, our country's policy becomes one that places priority on economics rather than our planet's health, longevity, or peace. I ain't perfect, but it seems to me ol' George W. Bush can do a lot better than he is in regards to environmentalism. His complete lack of commitment to the planet that our future generations will inherit is appalling and fills me with sadness and fright. Please write him and tell him.
