Bowel condition can be treated naturally

Posted: Sunday, March 05, 2006

In response to Susan LeBeau's letter to the editor regarding the colon hydrotherapy article. She is correct to think that there are some absolute contraindications to colon hydrotherapy, however, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and colitis may not be one of them.

There is a randomized, blinded trial that shows that topical application of a particular nutrient, phosphatidylcholine, induces remission in a statistically significant number of patients with chronic active ulcerative colitis.

I have great success in treating all bowel conditions in my practice, especially IBS and colitis, with a variety of natural treatments, even without colon hydrotherapy. I wish Susan success with her specialist in Washington.
