Shocked that people didn't intervene

I was not only shocked, but horrified, by what I read in Korry Keeker's recent column, "Reflections of love, dogs and inner demons," published in the Feb. 15 Hooligan.

I find it hard to believe that 20 people stood by and did nothing to stop this mindless bully from using his dog for a punching bag, let alone fail to attain his license plate number and report him to animal control.

This individual needs to feel the strong arm of the law. I hope he is identified, apprehended and convicted with animal cruelty. I will be the first one in line to cheer when this happens.

On another topic, I'm afraid it's only a matter of time before Romeo will meet with a sad end, mainly due to human interference. Didn't I read in the paper, some time ago, there is an animal group willing to take him? I think this would be a good solution, before some tragedy occurs.
