Sound off on the important issues at

He was born Feb. 5, 1942, in Seattle. He served in the U.S. Navy during the early outset of Vietnam, serving on the USS Whitehurst and the USS General William Mitchell. After the Navy, he was employed with various agencies such as the Federal Aviation Administration, commercial fishing and Knightwatch Security.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Poni; and sons, Steven, Michael and Anthony.

There will be no service, as he did not want one, but he wanted everyone to remember him in their own special way.
