Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Police arrested a 16-year-old boy at 3:48 p.m. Sunday on an assault charge in the 3400 block of Tongass Boulevard in the Mendenhall Valley. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
A 1983 Volvo station wagon was reported stolen at 4:25 p.m. Sunday in the 11900 block of Glacier Highway in the Auke Bay area. The car was located later at the Auke Bay Harbor parking lot. No damage was reported.
A cellular telephone was reported stolen at 11:54 a.m. Monday in the 9100 block of Glacier Highway near the airport.
A 1994 Chrysler Concorde driven by a 22-year-old woman reportedly struck the rear of a 2006 Ford truck driven by a 41-year-old woman at 3:06 p.m. Sunday on Mendenhall Loop Road and Thunder Mountain Road. No serious injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $6,000 to the Chrysler and $7,000 to the Ford.
Police cited a 40-year-old man on a speeding charge after an accident at 5:35 p.m. Sunday on Glacier Highway near the Shrine of St. Therese. He reportedly lost control of the 1990 Jeep Cherokee he was driving. The vehicle went into a ditch and rolled. Damage was estimated at $6,000. No injuries were reported.
Police impounded a vehicle at 12:11 a.m. Monday after citing the driver, a 19-year-old man, on a charge of driving without a license on outbound Egan Drive near Vanderbilt Hill Road.
Hit and run:
At 10 p.m. Sunday, a 2004 Dodge was reported struck by an unknown vehicle while parked in the 9000 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. Damage was estimated at $1,500.
An empty black purse containing keys was turned over to police at 4:48 p.m. Sunday after it was reportedly found near Glacier Highway and the Herbert River.
