Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Brent Gerber, 22, was arrested for drunken driving at 4:44 p.m. Thursday near Mendenhall Mall Road. He also was charged with driving without a valid license and vehicle theft. Police said they stopped Gerber when they noticed the vehicle he was operating allegedly had been reported missing from a parking lot in the valley. Gerber was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


A man, 45, was placed under citizen's arrest for assault at 12:10 p.m. Thursday near South Franklin Street. He also was charged with criminal mischief. He was lodged at the state prison.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

A woman reported at 1:47 p.m. Thursday near Aspen Avenue that the flag and door on her mailbox had been vandalized.

Vehicle accidents:

No injuries were reported when a 62-year-old man was hit by a green GMC truck, driven by a man, 20, at 3:16 p.m. Thursday near Seward Street and Third Street. Police said the man was not injured and there was no damage to the truck.
