The Juneau-Douglas High School boys basketball junior varsity team completed its season last week with two wins at Class 2A Angoon.

The Crimson Bears JV defeated the Eagles 62-47 last Wednesday and beat Angoon 46-39 on Thursday. Juneau finished the season 17-3.
On Wednesday, sophomore Billy Sarandria scored 13 of his game-high 17 points in the first quarter as JDHS coasted to victory.
Zach Heppner and Shawn Ibesate scored 10 points each in the win while Sean Bavard added seven points.
Also for JDHS, Dakotah Smith had six points, Eric Gross and Nick Andrews tallied five points each and Kyle Wales contributed two points.
Marcus Jamestown led Angoon with 14 points while Michael Howard and John Croasman scored 12 points each. Aaron Kearns added nine points in the loss.
In Thursday's win, Juneau-Douglas withstood a furious second-half comeback to win the game.
JDHS raced to a 28-11 halftime lead, but Angoon refused to quit. The Eagles limited Juneau-Douglas to just three points in the third quarter and tied the game at 39-39 in the fourth.
The Crimson Bears finished the game on a 7-0 run to foil the upset bid.
Heppner led JDHS with a game-high 15 points while Gross added eight points and 17 rebounds.
Sarandria scored eight points, Andrews had seven points while Ibesate, Wales, Smith and Kyle Kahklen added two points each for JDHS.
Croasman led Angoon with 13 points. Howard had 10 points, Jamestown added eight points, Kearns contributed four points while Jordan Joseph and Konrad Frank chipped in two points each in the loss.
