Eaglecrest plans clinics for telemarkers, downhill skiers and snowboarders who want to improve their skills.
The "Get Off Your Heels" adult telemark series of classes runs from 1 to 4 p.m. today and the next two Sundays, March 16 and 23. Cost is $30 a session.
"If somebody just wants to come to one session, they can," said Eaglecrest Ski and Snowboard School Director Jeffra Clough. "What we're doing is continuing to work on their skills. Each session will be individualized."
The "Yes You Can" Women's Ski Day for skiers of all levels runs 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15. Cost is $55, $73 with a lift ticket and $96 with the ticket and performance ski rental. Advanced registration is recommended.
The theme is exploring the relationship between equipment, the skier's level of fitness and her ability to be able to master the varied terrain of Eaglecrest, said the ski school's Barb Lindh. The price includes instruction, information from guest speakers, continental breakfast, lunch and after-ski snacks, she said.
The Adult Mini-Academy for skiers and boarders of all levels runs 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16. Cost is $50, $68 with a lift ticket and $91 with the ticket and performance ski rental.
The academy features instruction, video analysis of each boarder or skier's work on the slopes, snacks and an avalanche awareness presentation.
"It's a chance to refresh and improve skills and get coaching plus video analysis," Lindh said.
