Eaglecrest Ski Area, Juneau: Platter, Ptarmigan and Hooter lifts operate about 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday through Monday. The tubing hill and terrain park are closed.
Conditions are packed and packed powder. About 13 inches of snow is at the day lodge and 74 inches is at the top of the mountain. All trails are open but hazards exist.
The ski school offers ski and snowboard lessons beginning at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. when Eaglecrest is open.

Nordic ski trails, Juneau: Eaglecrest's upper Nordic trails have adequate snow and have been set. Lower trails are thinner but may be packed and set. Call 790-2000 for details.
Mendenhall Campground trails have been packed and set by the Juneau Nordic Ski Club. Dredge Lake area trails have not been set recently and are thin, slushy or frozen solid in places. Mendenhall Lake's snow is largely gone. For an update, check home.gci.net/~jnordski/.
