The road will expand our horizons

Letter to the editor

Growing up in Juneau, I have learned that it's a very close-minded town. I think a road out of Juneau would help expand horizons and give people a chance to see what's really out there. They might even see that Juneau does have much to offer. Most of the cons to building a road are all things we can overcome such as littering, safety and accidents. The biggest positive idea about having a road would be that it's cheaper than having to fly or take a ferry somewhere.

The fact that we would be using precious land to build a road is pretty sad. But we live in Alaska, not Rhode Island. We have enough space, time and money to build a road.
