Slow when passing broken vehicles

Letter to the editor

Juneau drivers beware. My husband is a mechanic and was on the side of the road near Eaglecrest Ski Area on March 2, fixing a delivery truck that had broken down.

Sound off on the important issues at

The scene was secure with flashers and orange cones, and yet drivers continued to go by too fast. The two vehicles that went by him came within inches of hitting him. This is not acceptable driving behavior.

Folks need to slow down to 10 to 15 mph when a vehicle is broken down on the side of the road. It's just common sense.

Everyday I pray to God that my husband comes home safe to his daughter and me. Please, Juneau drivers, beware.
