Yoga, meditation teacher holds workshops
Sound off on the important issues at
Guru Terath Kaur Khalsa, of New Mexico, an author, healer, psychotherapist and trainer of teachers in Kundalini yoga and meditation, will teach workshops on the weekends of March 10-11, 17-18 and 24-25.
Her classes are as follows: "Sat Nam Rasayan healing" from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on March 10 in the Catholic Community Services training room at St. Ann's Center on Sixth and Gold streets ($81, includes lunch); "Healing the Wounds of Love" from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on March 11 in the Catholic Community Services training room ($81, includes lunch); "Women's Moon Centers" from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on March 15 at Rainforest Yoga Center, in the Emporium Mall above Gold Town Nickelodeon (for women only, $21); "De-Addiction through Kundalini Yoga and Meditation" from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on March 17 at the Vocational Resource Training Center ($81, includes lunch); De-Addiction course continuation on March 18; "Dying Into Life: The Yoga of Death, Loss and Transformation" as taught by Yogi Bhajan from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 24 and 25 in the Catholic Community Services training room ($153 includes both days).

Gastineau holds flapjack feed on Sunday
Gastineau Elementary School's Primary Room will hold a flapjack feed from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday in the Gastineau Elementary School gym.
Students will be serving pancakes for $5 a plate. Coffee and juice will also be included in the meal. Proceeds from the feast will help offset costs for the class' field trip to Skagway and Haines in May. The first- and second-graders will be taking the state ferry to Haines, cruising on a catamaran to Skagway and riding the rails on their journey.

Community Schools seeks events for calendar
Community Schools is constructing a community resource list of all summer activities to appear in the Community Schedule and the Community Schedule Express at no cost to the group.

Deadline for submitting activities is March 16.
Daffodils Committee takes orders till Monday
The Daffodils Committee for the American Cancer Society still has daffodils available for sale. Orders will be taken through March 12.
To place an order, contact Wanda at 364-3617 or Tina at 523-4119. The Daffodils may also be purchased at the Goldbelt Building downtown or Nugget Alaskan Outfitters in the Nugget Mall on March 14. A bundle of daffodils are $10 per bundle.
Volunteers will deliver the daffodils for those who placed orders of ten bunches or more on March 14. Please have your money ready for the deliver to pick up. Credit cards are not accepted, so please have cash or check made payable to American Cancer Society. If you are not having your daffodils delivered, remember you will need to pick them up at the Nugget Alaskan Outfitters or the Goldbelt Building.
