Moira K. Smith and Jake Metcalfe will marry June 2 in Anchorage.

The bride is the daughter of Philip and Deborah Smith. A graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, she is finishing her law degree at the University of California Berkeley. She will work as a law clerk for the Alaska Supreme Court for the 2007-08 term.
The groom is the son of the late Vernon and Patricia Metcalfe. He graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School, Eastern Michigan University and Lewis & Clark Law School. He is general counsel to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1547. He also chairs the Alaska Democratic Party and is a member of the Anchorage School Board.
The couple will make their home in Anchorage. A Juneau celebration is planned for July 2.
