Organization description: SAIL provides consumer directed independent living services to people with disabilities throughout Southeast Alaska. ORCA is dedicated to offering skill building sports and recreational opportunities that address the needs and wants of our consumers and build self-esteem, motivation, confidence and strength.

Feature volunteer position: Enthusiastic volunteers are needed for SAIL's biggest fundraiser of the year, the SKI-for-ALL, March 24 and 25. Mountain event setup, ski demo, registration, buddy ski and clean up volunteers needed. Gala Awards Banquet and Silent Auction setup, servers, cleanup and logistical assistants needed. Anyone can collect pledges, and/or volunteer to help ORCA participants collect pledges. Grand prize for the top pledge earner is two tickets anywhere Alaska Airlines flies.

Additional volunteer opportunities: SAIL is recruiting board members, program volunteers; it also has space for ski volunteers for its Adaptive Ski and Snowboard Program. It also will be recruiting volunteers for the Only Fools Run in July.

Prerequisites: No experience necessary.
