Key Coalition of Alaska to hold rally

The Key Coalition of Alaska, a united advocacy body consisting of consumers, parents, guardians, providers, friends and all who care about disabilities in Alaska, will be holding a rally from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on March 15 on the steps of the Capitol Building.
The group will gather at the parking lot of the Goldbelt Hotel.
Fourth Street between Main Street and Seward will be closed to all vehicular traffic during the rally. Any questions regarding the event should be directed to Robert Locke at 789-9026.
Science fair to host open house
The Southeast Alaska Regional Science Fair, featuring science projects in botany, zoology, physics and engineering, will host an open house from 5 to 8:30 p.m., March 17 and 11:30 to 1 p.m., March 18 in the Marie Drake Gymnasium.
The public is invited to see the displays of over 130 students. Admission is free. Children of all ages are welcome.
Master class available for gardeners
Local gardeners and Cooperative Extension faculty from Alaska will hold master gardener classes on March 21, 23, 25, 28 and 30, and April 1, 4, 6, and 8. The classes are for gardeners with one to two years of gardening experience in Southeast Alaska.
The classes are 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays, in Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School, Room C107.
The cost is $90 per person or $140 per couple. To register, call Judy at the Cooperative Extension Office, 465-8749.
